Chris Walsh, Former Town Meeting Member, Massachusetts State Representative

“Judith’s admirable acts of public leadership contribute to the empowerment of women and all people of Framingham regarding environmental justice issues,” said State Rep. Chris Walsh, in a press release.

The Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women recognized Framingham resident Judith A. Grove as an Unsung Heroine at the 12th annual ceremony held in the State House on June 17, 2015.

The goal of the Commission is to identify extraordinary women from across the Commonwealth, who are at the forefront of advancing the status of women, every year.

Grove’s efforts in tackling environmental justice issues such as cleaning up the contamination from coal tar, arsenic, and cyanide as well as tirelessly working to build a skate park in Framingham, are examples of the volunteerism that makes a difference for the Town.

Michael Bower, Former Member of the Board of Selectmen

"In all my years of public service I have never seen a more relentless, tireless and effective advocate for their neighborhood and the issues in their neighborhood than Judy Grove.

Judy was instrumental in bringing the environmental issues at Mary Dennison Park to the forefront working with the town leadership to put a plan in place to address these issues. She led a decade long crusade for a skate park for our young people which is now on the verge of becoming a reality.

Judy is passionate and intelligent and totally dedicated to making our community a better place. District 8 residents will benefit by having this dynamo as their City Councilor. Framingham has benefitted from her service already.

I urge all my friends in District 8 to vote to elect Judy Grove to our first City Council!!!

I want to note that I am not a resident of District 8 however I truly believe that Judy's good work on the council will benefit all of Framingham.

I have the utmost admiration and respect for Judy and wish my friend the best fortunes in her upcoming election."

Jason Smith, Board of Selectmen

"Judy has long fought for her neighbors. She will be an excellent member of the City Council."

Jeffrey Cox, former Town Meeting Member, Vice Chair of Precinct 14

"Judy is one of my heroes!  I am pleased to endorse her for City Councilor in Framingham. She is a tireless advocate for her neighborhood, South Framingham, and Framingham. She has had direct impact on the creation of the Framingham Skatepark and has successfully advocated for Framingham to begin critically needed environmental and recreational improvements to Mary Dennison Park in Southeast Framingham. A Harvard graduate and member of the Ways & Means Committee, she has the intelligence to analyze finances and budgets.

She will be an asset to Framingham's City Council."

Wolfgang Breves, Skateboarder and Advocate for a Skatepark

"Judith Grove has a tenacity and commitment to her work that is nothing short of miraculous. Since meeting her, I have yet to encounter a day where she has less energy and excitement than me, and I am a 20-year-old. In the time that I have spent working with Judith, I have not once see her give up - Even when things don’t go her way, she keeps moving forward. This quality is best reflected in her political work. Nobody silences Judith Grove when it is her time to speak. A truly respectable figure, Mrs. Grove holds her values in the highest regard and always makes sure to follow up on her promises. I am proud to have met and worked with Mrs. Grove and I can fully attest to the fact that her vision for Framingham would positively change the city for the better. On a more personal level, Judith has always shown respect and professionalism with me and my colleagues. She treated each and every one of us with respect and patience, even when we failed to keep up with her consistent and proactive meeting schedule. Working with her made me feel powerful and as though my voice in the community truly mattered. Judith Grove is a true representative of the people and I for one will not miss my chance to elect someone like her, who truly cares for the citizens of Framingham, into our City Council."

"Mrs. Grove would make a good City Council Member because she is helping the children in our neighborhood who need a safe place to play.  She does not care about the color of our skin or where we live.  She came down to our park and asked us what we want to have there.  We told her we would like to have picnic tables and benches to sit on and more things to do in our playground, especially for the bigger kids.  There are only 2 baby swings and some stuff to climb on.  The park has 3 baseball fields but we do not play baseball.  We want to play soccer but there are no nets.  We need a place to ride our bikes and to run.   A kid in my neighborhood was riding his bike in the street and got hit by a car.  The mothers need a place where they can push baby carriages.  In the summer we are not allowed use hoses at our apartments so when it is hot we stay inside and watch TV.  We dream about having a swimming pool or even a fountain.  We wish we lived at Muster Field.  We heard they have water there.  Kids skate in the streets here which is very dangerous.  We heard they almost built a skatepark in Framingham.   Ivan  and Destiny will not go to the park because they said it is dangerous there.  Please go to the polls and vote for her so she can help us have a better, safe park to play in."
